Recent work

A Victorian terrace in Alresford, four rooms in six days

The homeowners wanted soft greys with a single statement wall. We sampled four shades at different times of day, matched the hallway to existing floorboards, then finished a forest-green accent with edges straight enough to photograph.

Our promise

How we work inside your home

Redecorating ought to feel like progress, not upheaval. These five commitments appear on every written estimate we issue.

  1. 01Protection first. Sheets over floors, furniture and fittings before any tin is opened. Radiators and switches masked as a matter of course.
  2. 02Orderly evenings. Brushes washed, kit stored, walkways cleared. Your home stays usable when we pack up for the day.
  3. 03Fixed figures. The total on your estimate is the total on your bill. Unexpected work is discussed and agreed before a brush touches it.
  4. 04Key care. One named decorator holds your keys, logs collection and returns them in person on the final day.
  5. 05Daylight sign-off. We stay until you have walked every room in natural light and signed off the finish.

Before you book

Questions homeowners ask us most

What should I budget for decorating a room?

Interior bedrooms start at £295 including materials, typically completed within two days. Exterior front doors begin at £195 with two coats; whole-house exteriors from £1,550. Wallpaper feature walls from £165 plus the cost of paper. You receive a written fixed-price estimate before work begins.

What happens during the free shade consultation?

We spend around forty-five minutes at your kitchen table with sample boards and fan decks. We discuss how light moves through the room, leave test patches if helpful, and follow up with a written estimate. Weekday evening visits can be arranged. There is no fee and no obligation.

Will the invoice match the estimate?

Always. The figure we quote is the figure we charge. If we uncover additional preparation once stripping begins, we pause and agree costs with you before continuing. Our Alresford terrace project was estimated and invoiced at £1,380.

How do you limit mess during the job?

Dust sheets and masking are laid before opening tins. We use extraction sanding where needed and low-odour paints in occupied properties. Each day ends with tools packed away and floors swept clear.

Which areas do you cover?

We work across Winchester, Newbury, Basingstoke, Reading and surrounding villages within fifteen miles. Call Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.30pm, or Saturday until midday. You can also visit our workshop on London Road, Basingstoke.

Word of mouth

What local homeowners say

★★★★★

"The junction between our bedroom wall and ceiling is absolutely level. My partner ran a straight edge along it twice because he assumed we had used tape."

Helen W., Winchester

★★★★★

"They hung a wide-width paper around our bay window with the pattern lining up on both returns. Quiet, tidy crew — the cleanest decorating experience we have had."

James and Priya K., Newbury

★★★★★

"Estimated £1,550 for the outside of our cottage, billed £1,550, and they cleared fallen leaves from the path when they finished. The render looks years younger."
